Las Posas Greens Park

Las Posas Greens Park

About the project

Background

The primary purpose of a homeowners association is to manage the common areas of a community. This includes things such as parks, roads, public pools, and outdoor recreational areas. Homeowner associations are made to guarantee a certain amount of quality when new amenities are installed. Because of this, they can make sure everything is up to a certain standard and will not ruin the aesthetics of the community. Residents of the community usually also have to pay monthly dues. They are there to help the community, and it’s no different for the Las Posas Greens Park HOA. The monthly Las Posa HOA costs usually cover landscaping, regular maintenance, management fees, any clubhouse amenities such as pool, spa, workout room/gym, security, and/or common area electricity. The Las Posas Greens Park HOA also has reserve funds that are used for large projects such as replacements or repairs within the homeowner’s association.

Design & Planning

Working with homeowner associations has presented some difficulty for lighting manufacturers in the past. This is because HOAs typically have very specific requirements needed for their outdoor lighting. However, Soltech’s Cegonia fixture is perfect for residential communities such as these and offers many advantages.

  • The Cegonia fixture offers an elegant, white finish to accommodate residential applications
  • Offers up to 90 percent downward light
  • A larger, separate solar panel to increase solar intake
Impact

Because of the advantages presented with the Cegonia fixture, the Las Posas Green Park HOA reached out to us to install a Cegonia 20W fixture in their neighbor park area. The fixture was installed on the walkway and illuminated the surrounding recreational area and path. The Las Posas homeowners association praised the fixture for not being so bright that it bothers the surrounding homeowners, but bright enough to properly illuminate the outdoor walkway. All of Soltech’s outdoor solar fixtures have great efficiency with 200 lumens per watt. This means that the off-grid Cegonia fixture outputs 4000 lumens worth of illumination.

It was a pleasure working with this community to help illuminate their park walkway. Due to the versatility of our product, Soltech always welcomes a challenge and always works diligently to fit the perimeters of any project.
